Since opening in 2003, Café Arabe has become a must-visit destination for travelers from all over the world seeking to experience the magic of the red city and the allure of its Medina. In a captivating setting that highlights Moroccan architecture and artisanal craftsmanship, the restaurant serves a variety of exquisite Moroccan and Italian dishes, as well as a delightful breakfast menu. Guests can enjoy their meal in the lush patio beneath bitter orange trees, the cozy indoor dining room with a fireplace, or on the terrace, which offers breathtaking views of the Koutoubia and the Medina’s rooftops. Café Arabe is also known for being one of the few establishments in the area with an extensive selection of fine wines and cocktails. A perfect retreat after a day in the bustling souks. On December 23, 2023, Café Arabe celebrated its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of commitment, dedication, and excellence from its teams, which have helped make this spot one of Marrakech's most iconic landmarks.
FROM GUESTHOUSE TO MUST-VISIT RESTAURANT
Since opening 20 years ago, Café Arabe has continuously evolved. Initially a guesthouse with dining, a pivotal transformation took place in 2007, when the riad was converted into a full-fledged restaurant. The terrace was redesigned to feature a stunning bar and a kitchen lift to provide optimal service for the many visitors. In 2021, further significant changes were
introduced, reflecting Café Arabe’s commitment to delivering excellence while preserving its unique character.
In line with this vision, 2024 brings an exciting addition—a new cozy space designed to offer a warm, welcoming experience. This new chapter reinforces our dedication to creating memorable moments in Marrakech.
ROYAL RECOGNITION
Over the past twenty years, Café Arabe has had the honor of welcoming distinguished international figures from the worlds of entertainment, fashion, and sports. However, the most memorable moment remains the royal visit in 2017, when His Majesty King Mohammed VI endorsed the Medina’s renovation project with his signature. This unforgettable moment is commemorated with a photograph proudly displayed at the restaurant entrance.
